I am basking in the beauty and artistic stimulation of a three-week residency with the apprentice artists of the Sante Fe Opera. The beauty of the surroundings, the atmosphere of colleagiality and artistic excellence is always a highlight of my teaching year. This year’s crop of young talented apprentices is particularly brilliant. The future of opera is indeed bright!
Cheers to margaritas and gorgeous sunsets,
A view of the opera:
I am thrilled to announce that I have been appointed Director of Vocal Studies for the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Center of the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
I’m thrilled to be launching my new website today. This has been a long time coming, but then again I’m of the generation that is somewhat technically illiterate.
This launch coincides beautifully with a new chapter in my life having moved in the last six months to Chicago. I’m delighted to say that I absolutely love it.
Artistically and personally this has been the best possible move for me.
I hope to see many of you soon for a lesson. The view is great up here on the 29th floor.
